Noise Policy
The Library is a dynamic resource and it offers a wide range of services, materials and environments. Some of our library users require a place for quiet concentration and study. Excessive noise carries from the Group Study so please moderate the noise level of your discussions. Excessive noise or inappropriate behaviour is never appreciated by either your neighbours or the staff.
Cell Phones Policy
Cell phones must be set on silent mode, and only devices with touch screen keyboards are permitted in library. We understand that you may wish to have your cell phones on but please leave the library to make or take calls.
Care of library borrower cards:
Take special care to maintain the library borrower cards. Do not fold, alter entries made on the cards, Members are responsible for the entire set of library borrower card issued to them.
Loss of cards:
Loss of borrower card should be reported to the librarian. Duplicate card may be issued against formal application and fine.
Validity of cards:
Library borrower cards are valid for the entire duration of the course to access library facilities at the end of the course
Care of Library Books:
Students are require to handle the books/ Journal very carefully; marking with pencil , writing or highlighting , tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way will be viewed very seriously. In such case reader shall be held responsible unless these are brought to the notice from the library staff at the time of issue.

JIMS provide e-learning generation, the digital library Digital libraries consist of a collection of digital resources. These resources are generally stored in a broad range of formats and can be accessed by users over a computer network. Students have access to thousands of digital files, like e-books, e-journals, lecture videos, etc. with high speed internet connection to help the students retrieve the files quickly. The Library has Newspaper Corner daily news paper like Employment new, Business Economic , Time of India and many more daily news paper are displayed here for essay access for student.

Same like Newspaper Corner from daily News paper important news (like Budget, and advertisement) will Display on Notice Board.
Career and Employment Information.
Career and employment information is very much important for student as it guides them towards career awareness. Now a days, every student talks about career and employment opportunities in their early college days. Career and Employment Information corner plays a vital role among the students to achieve this. JIMS provide Employment news Paper to student and help of Digital library with free internet access student can find different job opportunity on the internet.
Current Awareness Service (CAS)
Current Awareness Service (CAS) is a kind of awareness service to the users. This service is provided in order to keep the library users aware of the new addition of books and journals or any other resources. For the case of print books, weekly new arrival list is being displayed at the Library. Similarly, the list of newly added issues of print journals put on display on the notice board of the Current Display Section. All electronic resources are listed in library. The displayed books or Journal are not allowed to issue for one week.
Reference Services & Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)
The Reference services are provided from the Reference Desk to help the users in locating a book or periodical, providing information on a topic, an event, a person, a date, a place, or a word, and giving instructions regarding the method of using the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), and offering research and advisory services to library users, and meeting enquiry about library services.
Reading Hall with Proper Ventilation.
JIMS also has AC Reading Hall with Wi-Fi connectivity to provide a comfortable environment for students to do their routine reading, assignments or even various B-school competitions.
Digital Library & Internet Facility
The Digital Library is located in the library, Digital Library having the facility of Internet and is having an excellent collection of References, Magazines, e-Journals, , Dailies, Videocassettes, CDs, e-volumes of references etc. student can have easy access of digital library with internet facility.
Printing, Scanning and Reprography Facility:
The Library provides Printing, Scanning Facility. High quality printer are available in JIMS library. Document Print or Scanning in the Library, you need a JIMS student identity card or a Library membership card. For particular importance in the production of posters, important article Reprography facility is also available.
Art exhibition and competition
The Library is glad to announce that it will be providing space for art exhibits which reflect the diverse talent of the Junior College students. An Art Selection Committee will consider different works and choose EIGHT pieces to display in the Library. Selected artists are given a two-month showing.
